School Administrator


Green Meadow Waldorf School is accepting applications for a School Administrator to begin in the summer of 2010.  The Administrator provides leadership for the implementation of Green Meadow’s mission in cooperation with the Collegium, the Board, the faculty/staff, and parents.  The Administrator is responsible for facilitation and coordination of school matters, interfacing with parents and faculty/staff, overseeing the administrative staff and various administrative committees, and ensuring timely and effective communication within the school community and beyond.

Candidates must have a commitment to the study of Anthroposophy and to the mission and vision of Green Meadow Waldorf School, a commitment to collaborative decision-making, and a willingness to practice servant leadership.  This full-time leadership position requires a Bachelor’s degree, demonstrated significant experience in Waldorf administration, as well as solid computer skills and good spoken and written communication skills.  Waldorf teaching experience is preferred.

Chemistry/Math Teacher


Green Meadow Waldorf School seeks a chemistry/math teacher. The position includes teaching chemistry main lesson classes in all high school grades, a full-year twelfth grade chemistry class, and mathematics teaching in the high school and/or middle school. Candidates should have a strong background in chemistry and mathematics as well as an interest in, and ideally some familiarity with, the philosophy and curriculum of the Waldorf schools.

This full-time position begins September 2011, but we can offer a one-year internship (beginning September 2010) with our present chemistry teacher. Candidates interested in either entry date are encouraged to contact the Administrator at khoffman@gmws.org for more information.

 Math Teacher

Green Meadow seeks a full-time math teacher for the 2010-2011 school year, with the possibility to begin part-time in February 2010, to join our present team of four math and science teachers. We are particularly looking for an innovative, and preferably experienced, teacher who has a solid mathematics background as well as the capacity and enthusiasm for teaching small, slower-paced groups. While our need is primarily in the high school there also may opportunities to teach in the middle school. Candidates should have an interest in, and ideally some familiarity with, the Waldorf philosophy of child development.
