Bill Pernice - HS Chorus
In 1988, Bill graduated from the teacher training program at Sunbridge College. He has worked as a professional pianist for many years, playing with such legendary artists as Jon Hendriks and Willie Nelson.
A former Waldorf school kindergarten teacher, Bill has been at Green Meadow since 1992 and has served as Director of Development since April 2011. In addition to teaching high school chorus, Bill serves on the Music and Finance committees.
Jacqueline Stern - Orchestra
BM, Music Education, Ithaca College; MM (performance), Manhattan School of Music.
A cellist and member of Encore Trio, Jackie is the conductor of the Westchester Junior Strings (part of Greater Westchester Youth Orchestras).
Jackie conducts the lower school and the high school orchestras and serves on the Festival Committee.
Karen Tallman - Pianist
BA, Music, Douglass College of Rutgers University.
Karen is the coordinator of the Music Department and chairs both the Festival Committee and the Music Committee. She has written, arranged and performed music for many class plays and eurythmy classes.
Karen is currently working on a book for eurythmy teachers, which will include her original music. A member of the Green Meadow teaching staff since 1983, she is a passionate knitter and loves long-distance travel.
Anna Teigen - 3rd Grade Violin and Viola, 4th Grade Orchestra
BM, Music Education, University of Wisconsin, Madison; Suzuki Teacher Training, School for Strings, NYC.
Anna is the conductor of the Rockland Conservatory String Orchestra and is Co-Director of the Suzuki Program at the Rockland Conservatory of Music.
