Our Campus

Green Meadow Waldorf School’s campus resembles a small village, with a farm, a biodynamic garden, a swimming pond and a natural foods cooperative within walking distance.   The school's main campus comprises six instructional buildings on 11 acres, with ample playground and athletic field space.  Our extended community, that of the Threefold Educational Center, adds an additional 200 adjacent acres for our families’ use, creating a beautiful rural environment of forests and fields, and providing opportunities for our students to bring their curriculum to life by connecting classroom lessons to real-world experiences.  Kindergarteners feed chickens and gather eggs; third graders milk cows and harvest biodynamic crops, sixth graders sow seeds and tend the garden.  Our proximity to New York City, and the surrounding natural beauty of New York State and beyond, further serve to round out our students’ education by providing easy access to a myriad of class trips, ranging from one day to one week.

In 2010, the school will break ground on a $4 million campus expansion project, including the addition of a 350-seat theater to our Arts Building.  Over $3 million for this Capital Campaign project has been raised through the generosity of our parents, alumni, Board, faculty, staff and friends.
