SCRIP (School Cash Rebate Incentive Program) is another name for gift cards. As a non-profit organization, Green Meadow is able to buy these gift cards at discounts ranging from 3% to 22% from a variety of retailers and then sell them at face value. The retailers thus make tax-deductible contributions to our school, and through the combined results of our purchases, thousands of dollars are raised for Green Meadow at absolutely no additional cost to the purchasers. The SCRIP program is run by parents and offers varied opportunities for those interested in volunteering.

All families at Green Meadow are asked to purchase $300 each month in SCRIP, which is easy when using SCRIP for groceries or for large purchases like airline tickets or home furnishings.  We encourage you to participate in auto-SCRIP: just give us a standing order and we will charge your credit card monthly and send home your SCRIP for the month on the second Wednesday of each month.

Remember that SCRIP costs you nothing extra; for example, you are still paying $100 for a $100 gift card. But because we have purchased the cards at a discount, you are earning important funds for Green Meadow and supporting Tuition Assistance when you buy SCRIP from us.

How to Order SCRIP

• Send in your form and payment (cash, check, or credit card information) with your child any Wednesday morning and receive your SCRIP that same afternoon.  Click here to print a SCRIP order form.
• Purchase SCRIP at the Threefold Cafe between 9:00 and 11:00 am every Wednesday.
• Sign up for auto-SCRIP, our automated monthly ordering system. When you sign up, just tell us how much SCRIP you want from each merchant every month, and we'll charge your credit card monthly after we fill your order.  Auto-SCRIP is usually filled on the second Wednesday of every month (we'll send you the schedule when you sign up), and is sent home with your child on that day.  You can adjust the merchants and amounts at any time.
