What You Can Do

Learn More about the Work of the Development Office

The mission of the Green Meadow Development Office is to make a quality Waldorf education accessible to every family in our area who wants it.  By supporting this work, you help fund vital programs, keep Green Meadow tuition affordable, and boost Tuition Assistance funds.  You can make a difference.  We can't do it without you!

Click HERE to browse the latest publication from the Development Office, which tells you how to donate to Green Meadow, and why we urgently need your support.

For more information about the work of the Development Office and why it matters, contact Vicki Larson, Director of Development, at 845-356-2514 x311 or vlarson@gmws.org or visit us upstairs in the High School building.

Join the Development Committee

Every parent is encouraged to attend a meeting and then join one of our four working groups: Annual Fund, Events, Alumni Relations or Parent-Run Initiatives.  The Development Office has just two staff people and relies on parent volunteers to serve on these vital committees and help us meet our goals.

Give to the Annual Fund

Because tuition covers only about 87% of the cost of each Green Meadow student's education, the Annual Fund exists to fill the remaining gap, which is approximately $1,500 per student.   Every gift counts, whether it's $20 or $20,000, and our goal this year is 100% participation, an important measure of community support to outside donors.  (Last year, we broke the school record for Annual Fund participation by reaching 90% participation school-wide, and we reached 100% participation in seven classes, another first for Green Meadow.)  Arrange a matching gift through your employer and double or triple your impact.  All gifts are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Click HERE to learn How to Donate.

Attend Our Events

Each of these events raises money for Green Meadow and is a fun way to spend time with the community.  Ads in event programs start at $50 and are a good way to showcase your business.

Support our Capital Campaign

To make much-needed renovations to the school, we recently carried out a successful capital campaign. Through Tomorrow Within Today – A Campaign for Green Meadow Waldorf School, we raised $3M, and have already made extensive renovations to our gymnasium.  We look forward to breaking ground on our new Arts Building in Summer 2010.

Your support for this effort is still much appreciated, and will help us reduce the amount we need to borrow to cover our expected costs of about $4M. Pledged commitments to the campaign are encouraged and can be paid over a 3-5 year period.
