What's Next?

We look forward to working with you to determine whether Green Meadow is right for your child. Our Admissions Process is outlined below. We invite you to call us if you have any questions.

Admissions Process

The Green Meadow application process is an opportunity for the prospective family and the school to share information and get to know one another better.  To ensure a good fit between the student and the school, it is important that prospective families have an understanding of how Green Meadow is different from other independent schools, and an awareness of its relationship to the broader Waldorf Education movement.

Throughout the year, we offer a variety of admissions events, some designed just for parents and others for parents and students. For a complete schedule of upcoming events and dates, please go to our Admissions Events page.

Early Childhood (Nursery/Kindergarten) Admissions

Apply online here.

1. Parents attend an Introductory Session

2. Complete and submit a signed application, which includes:

  • A $50 non-refundable application fee (check made payable to "GMWS")
  • All required documentation as described in the application form
  • A separate sheet describing why you are choosing Waldorf Education
  • A recent photo of your child

3.  The school will arrange an interview between both parents and an Early Childhood teacher so that the teacher may gain a full picture of your child and you can learn more about our program. Interview scheduling begins in January.

4. Your child will be invited to participate in a 30-minute afternoon playgroup, enjoying age-appropriate activities with other Early Childhood applicants. Playgroup scheduling begins in the winter.

5. Eligibility for acceptance into the Early Childhood program is determined by the Early Childhood faculty based upon the application form and supporting documents, parent interview, child's playgroup experience, and the particular makeup of the class. The admissions decision is communicated to the parents in writing.

6. Depending on availability of space, eligible candidates may be placed in a waiting pool and offered admissions as space permits.

7. Upon acceptance, the Business Office will contact parents to discuss the enrollment contract, deposit, and tuition arrangements.
