B.A. English, SUNY New Paltz
Clifford Venho attended the Rudolf Steiner School in New York City from Nursery through Tenth Grade. He then finished high school at the Beacon School and went on to study English and Creative Writing at SUNY New Paltz. At the age of 20, he began to study the work of Rudolf Steiner. He spent two summers working with children on an organic farm in New Paltz, and began to reflect on his own education and understand the profound insights of Waldorf pedagogy and the significance of an anthroposophical approach to education.
Just before leaving the US to study abroad in Graz, Austria, he became ill. He sought out a therapeutic eurythmist in Graz and discovered the wonderful forces of healing present in Eurythmy. His love for Eurythmy then brought him to Chestnut Ridge, where he is currently enrolled as a student at Eurythmy Spring Valley. Anthroposophy and Waldorf pedagogy continue to inspire him, not only in the form they take in books, but in the way they transform everyday life.
