Our process is designed to help your family discover Green Meadow. Steps vary by grade level — here’s what to expect.
Early Childhood
Preschool & Kindergarten
- Schedule a Tour or attend an open house (recommended)
- Submit application via Ravenna ($50 fee)
- Submit a teacher recommendation, if applicable
- Schedule a “Meet and Play” with an early childhood teacher
Grades 1–8
Lower & Middle School
- Schedule a Tour or attend an open house (recommended)
- Submit application via Ravenna ($50 fee)
- Submit a teacher recommendation (academic subject)
- Submit report cards from last two years (Grades 2+)
- Submit student questionnaire (Grades 5+)
- Please refer to our age chart to make sure you are applying for the correct grade
Grades 9–12
High School
- Schedule a Tour or attend an open house (recommended)
- Submit application via Ravenna ($50 fee)
- Submit report cards from last two years
- Submit a teacher recommendation (math or English)
- Submit samples of written work
- Submit a student questionnaire
When to Apply
We accept applications on a rolling basis year-round. Our priority deadline for 2027-2028 is January 15, 2027, with admissions decisions shared by February 26—but we continue to welcome new applications as space is available. To apply, you’ll create a free account on the Ravenna platform, where you can complete and submit your application online. If you apply during the summer months (June–August), please allow a bit of extra time for processing.
Age Requirements
For preschool, children need to be potty-trained and at least 2.9 years of age by the time they begin at Green Meadow. Please refer to the GMWS age chart when applying to make sure you are applying for the correct grade.

Admissions requirements
Here are a few additional details to help you prepare your application.
Immunization Records
New York State requires all children attending school to be up to date on vaccinations. Proof of mandatory immunization records is required.
International Students
International students must comply with all US immigration regulations. If you are applying for an I-20 student visa, please get in touch with the admissions office for guidance.
12th Grade Applicants
If you are interested in applying for Grade 12 and are currently enrolled in Grade 11 at another Waldorf school, please reach out to admissions directly.
Summer Applications
If applying during June–August, processing times may be slower and admission may not be finalized until after the school year begins.
