Athletics & Extracurriculars
Healthy bodies, a sense of team, opportunity to build one’s character: these are some of the benefits our student athletes receive from Green Meadow’s interscholastic private school sports program. With a strong, veteran coaching staff, our school offers competitive schedules for our varsity and middle school teams. We also hold clinics throughout the year in soccer, basketball, tennis, and baseball for Fifth and Sixth Grade athletes to help ready the next group of “Warriors.”
Many Green Meadow students go on to play on college teams and compete nationally and internationally.

The Green Meadow Waldorf School Equestrian Program is an after-school program for children in Second Grade and up, and teaches children to ride in the English discipline. The program runs for two 12-week sessions, from late September through April, and is led by Sandy Volpe, High School applied arts teacher, class advisor, and horse owner/rider.
Group lessons (30 minutes, 6 riders to a group) are on Tuesdays OR Wednesdays at the Ramapo Riding Center in Suffern, NY. Which day a child attends depends on his/her riding experience, as determined by a Ramapo Riding Center trainer's assessment. Students are transported to and from the Riding Center by the school, and receive lessons from a trainer. The bus leaves Green Meadow at 3:15pm and returns at 5:30pm.
The cost for a 12-week series of Tuesday or Wednesday sessions, including transportation and instruction, is $420. Please contact Sandy Volpe for details.
The Green Meadow After-School Program nurtures and nourishes children by supporting current families needing childcare from 3pm-6pm during the school year. Our goal is to give children an opportunity to be received with warmth and loving guidance after a full day of school activities. The program serves children in Nursery, Kindergarten, and Lower School.
Fee/Billing: The program fee is $10/hour and $5/hour for siblings (after the first child). You will be billed at the end of each month through the Business Office.
