Class Trips - Grand Canyon

Our international students recently visited Arizona, where they hiked in the Grand Canyon and explored the red rock landscape around Sedona.

A highlight of the week was a full moon hike, in which they climbed to the top of a mountain and watched the sun set and the moon rise simultaneously. As one of the ninth graders wrote, it felt like "standing between night and day."

Children's Day in Japan, known as "Kodomo no Hi" in Japanese, is a national holiday celebrated on May 5th each year. It is a day dedicated to honoring and appreciating children's happiness and well-being.

At Green Meadow, students conceive their own independent senior project according to their personal interests. They then work with an outside mentor, as well as a faculty mentor, throughout their senior year until the day of their presentation to the whole school community.
Presentations are made in front of the whole school and to any family members.

Grace Toscano composed a biography on her Oma/grandmother. She turned 3 hours 24 minutes 46 seconds of recording into an intriguing book of her family history.

Project - Tai Chi Chuan

Raian presented on Tai Chi Chuan, a famous form of Chinese martial arts. He practiced with his sifu - A master or teacher in the context of martial arts, especially kung fu and tai chi during his senior year and created an amazing performance.

Farm Dance

Please join us on Saturday, May 13, 2023 between 1 & 4 pm for our Third Grade Farm Dance.

The event will be held at the GMWS gymnasium; cost for general admission is $5 per person and $20 per family (over 4 members), children under 3 are free.

There will be lots of fun and activities...this is a great for kids ages 3-12.

Thanks to everyone who supported May Festival – A Day for Grandparents and Special Friends.

May Festival is a treasured annual event where grandparents and special friends spend an entire day on our beautiful campus. They join the children in their classrooms (Early Childhood through grade 8) to view their work, meet the teachers, and help with the construction of flower crows in honor of May Day. The event culminated with the traditional May Pole celebration.
