Jackie Stern has been teaching instrumental music at Green Meadow since 1996. She is chair of the Music Committee, conducts the school’s orchestras, and teaches the Third Grade ‘cello class and Music History in the High School. She is an active orchestral and chamber musician, playing in the trio “Terzetta” and the “Cara Quartet,” among other ensembles. She conducts the Westchester Junior Strings (a part of Greater Westchester Youth Orchestras) and is a certified teacher of the Suzuki and Mark O’Connor string teaching methods. Jackie was a participant in the Conductors’ Retreat at Medomak this summer, and has been a Conducting Fellow at the Queens College Conducting Workshop and the Pacific Northwest Conductors’ Institute.
