Joanne Monteleone
School Counselor, Early Childhood Through Grade 12, College Counselor
Joanne has worked as a counselor, theater director, drama teacher, and recreation therapist for the past 24 years. She began her career in San Francisco, working as a recreation therapist in both educational and clinical settings with various populations, including youth at risk, brain-injured patients, and AIDS patients. Her work in the theater includes both professional and academic directing credits, and she also worked as an adjunct professor of drama. She has also worked as an assistant editor on Youth Theatre Journal and has co-authored drama education curricula.
Joanne received her Master’s degree in School Counseling in May 2010. She is an active member of the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) and the Westchester, Putnam, Rockland County Guidance Counselor Association (WPRCA). She has served as the chair of the Green Meadow Drug and Alcohol Committee and oversees senior internships and senior projects, in addition to continuing her study of anthroposophy.
