The Green Meadow application process is an opportunity for the prospective family and the school to share information and get to know one another better. To ensure a good fit between the student and the school, it is important that prospective families have an understanding of our school and an awareness of Green Meadow's relationship to the broader Waldorf Education movement.
Throughout the year, we offer a variety of admissions events, some designed just for parents and others for parents and students.
How to Apply
In preparation for applying, please complete and submit the following:
- A signed application (includes a $50 non-refundable application fee)
- A signed records request form
- A signed Early Childhood or Lower School Teacher Recommendation form
- A copy of current school transcripts
After a favorable review of the required documents, the school will arrange for a classroom visit so that your prospective student can have an experience in our school, as well as a parent interview so that you can learn more about our program.
Eligibility for acceptance is determined by the faculty of the Early Childhood, Lower School, or High School based upon the application form, supporting documents, and the particular makeup of the class. All admissions decisions will be communicated in writing. Depending on availability of space, eligible candidates may be placed in a waiting pool and offered enrollment as space permits.
Upon acceptance, the Business Office will contact parents to discuss the enrollment contract, deposit, and tuition arrangements.

Admissions Events Schedule
To help prospective families learn more about Green Meadow Waldorf School, we encourage you to join us for an admissions event. Some events are open to parents and prospective students, while others are designed for parents only.
Introductory Sessions for Prospective Parents
All sessions begin at 9am.
A wonderful introduction to Green Meadow Waldorf School, Introductory Sessions for Parents are both a general informational event and a required step in our application process. Each session begins with the viewing of a video presentation on Waldorf® Education, followed by a question-and-answer period with our Pedagogical Administrator Bill Pernice and High School students. The session concludes with a faculty-led campus tour, and is for adults only. This event begins at 9am and concludes at approximately 11am. Tea & Play
Lower School Nursery Classroom

Please note: there are no Tea & Play events when school is closed.
While your child plays near you in our beautiful classroom, share a cup of tea with an Early Childhood Teacher and learn more about our programs for young children. Drop-ins are welcome; advance registration is appreciated.
Morning in the Nursery/Kindergarten

An Introduction to our Lower School

Hear from renowned class teacher Elizabeth Hall as she describes the wisdom of the Waldorf curriculum, then tour our classrooms, view student work, and speak to our teachers.
A Walk Through the Grades

A wonderful opportunity to see the Waldorf curriculum in action! We will visit some of our Lower School grades during Main Lesson with a Q&A period with faculty after the observations.
High School Open Day
Annual event; Fall 2017 date TBA
Spend a day in Green Meadow's High School and learn more about Waldorf Education. We invite you to observe Main Lesson classes, participate in a Q&A, and meet current faculty, parents, and students. In addition, hear presentations on our 9th though 12th grade curriculum, international exchange program, college advising, community service opportunities, senior projects, and internships. This event is for adults and middle-school and high-school aged students.
Coffee with Our Administrator and Walking Tour
