After School Program

General Information

The Green Meadow After School Programs support families needing childcare from 2:45 – 6:00 p.m. during the school year. Our goal is to give children an opportunity to be received with warmth and loving guidance after a full day of school activities. The program serves children in Nursery, Kindergarten, and Grades 1-6. 

All school values and codes for dress and conduct apply to this program. Home toys and games should be kept at home unless previous arrangements have been made with the After School Teacher. 

After School Program

Highlights

The After School Programs are outdoor programs, weather permitting, adjacent to the Early Childhood building for EC students and in the Lower School play yard for lower school students. The children gather as a family group and begin their afternoon with a healthy, organic snack followed by outdoor play.

In inclement weather students in the After School Program will engage in quiet activities including simple crafts, homework, and quiet play. Instrument lessons and/or tutoring may be scheduled by lower school parents during this time.

After School Program

Registration

Parents using the after school program on a regular basis (i.e., every Wednesday & Friday) should communicate that schedule to the After-School Teacher as soon as possible.

Children may attend with regular, scheduled attendance or, as space allows, for a single day or sporadic use:

You will be notified if the program is full, in which case you must make other arrangements to have your child(ren) picked up. NO UNANNOUNCED DROP-IN ENROLLMENT IS ACCEPTED. There will be no after school program during school holidays.

Late Pick-up

Parents picking up their child(ren) after 6:00 p.m. will be billed an additional hour. Children in grades 1-6 who are unattended on campus after 3:20 p.m. will not automatically join the After School Program; they will need to wait with their teachers or with staff in the Lower School/Early Childhood office if their teachers are in meetings. Please be on time for pick-up.

Fee/Billing

Our fee is $15/hour for a single child.

Sibling discount: Families with more than one child will pay $7.50/hour for each additional child in the family.

You will be billed at the end of each month through the Business  Office. Fees are determined for every half-hour used. Example: If you pick up your child at 4:15 p.m., your fee will be assessed as 3:30 -4:30 p.m.
