Harlan Gilbert

High School Math and Philosophy Teacher

Harlan’s first career was in computer programming. He then worked as a class teacher in the United Kingdom for six years and studied eurythmy for three years in Dornach, Switzerland. Harlan is an active lecturer and writer. His articles have appeared in many places, including The Golden Blade (a yearbook for anthroposophy), the Waldorf Education Research Institute Bulletin, and Lilipoh magazine. Harlan has written a book on child development, At the Source: the Incarnation of the Child and the Development of a Modern Pedagogy, which was published by AWSNA Press in 2005.

Harlan joined Green Meadow High School in 2003. He presently teaches math, computer science, physics, and philosophy.
